KREASI Ketapang Holds Education Dialogue and Appreciation Event

KREASI Ketapang, implemented by the Majelis Dikdasmen PNF PP Muhammadiyah, held a two-day Education Dialogue themed “Strengthening Research and Evidence-Based Practice through Conferences and Sharing Good Practices” on 30 January 2026.

The event was attended by educators, policymakers, and education stakeholders in Ketapang Regency.

The agenda also included an appreciation session, where KREASI Ketapang presented awards to figures who have contributed to education in Ketapang, particularly through the KREASI Program.

The education dialogue featured various speakers. In his remarks, Secretary of the Majelis Dikdasmen PNF PP Muhammadiyah, Khoirul Huda, emphasized that education is a shared responsibility of all elements of society.

“Education cannot be placed solely on schools; it is a shared responsibility between families, schools, and the community, in line with the concept of the Three Centers of Education,” he said.

Meanwhile, Director of the KREASI Program at Majelis Dikdasmen PNF PP Muhammadiyah, Gufron Amirullah, conveyed that throughout 2025 the KREASI Program had carried out various education interventions in three key sub-districts in Ketapang Regency.

“The KREASI Program reaches Benua Kayong, Delta Pawan, and Muara Pawan Sub-districts, involving dozens of early childhood education (PAUD) and primary schools, particularly in strengthening early-grade reading literacy,” he explained.

He added that one of the program’s major achievements is the publication of 67 children’s storybook titles written by teachers in Ketapang.

“In addition to producing storybooks, we also conducted training on read-aloud techniques and joyful reading so that early-grade students’ reading skills can develop optimally and sustainably,” he added.

Appreciation was also expressed by the Regional Secretary of Ketapang Regency, Repalianto. He stated that the contribution of the KREASI Program is highly significant in supporting efforts to improve education quality in the region.

“The Ketapang Regency Government extends its highest appreciation for the tangible contribution of Muhammadiyah and the KREASI Program in supporting the improvement of education quality in the region,” he said.

On the same occasion, Chair of PP Muhammadiyah, Irwan Akib, stressed that since its inception, Muhammadiyah has positioned education as a strategic charitable endeavor to build civilization and empower the ummah.

“At that time, Indonesian society was in a state of backwardness and poverty. Therefore, KH. Ahmad Dahlan chose the path of education as a means of liberation from ignorance and poverty,” he stated.

He explained that in the early days, the education system in Indonesia was divided into two: traditional pesantren education and modern Dutch-style education. KH. Ahmad Dahlan then integrated the two into an education model that combined Islamic values with advances in science.

“Education must be able to empower communities and serve as a means to break free from backwardness,” he concluded.

Through this education dialogue, the KREASI Program hopes that research-based good practices can continue to be strengthened and replicated in order to sustainably improve the quality of education in Ketapang Regency.
