KREASI Kayong Utara, implemented by Majelis Dikdasmen dan PNF PP Muhammadiyah, organized a Monitoring Meeting for the Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPK) and Community-Based Integrated Child Protection (PATBM) within schools and communities in Kayong Utara Regency. The activity took place at SMA Negeri 1 Sukadana with 31 participants on Thursday, 4 September 2025.
The meeting aimed to strengthen efforts in preventing, handling, and assisting cases of violence against women and children. It also served as a forum to enhance the capacity of TPPK and PATBM members in early detection of violence cases, strengthen cross-sector coordination networks, and educate communities about children’s rights, gender equality, and violence prevention.
During the discussion, it was revealed that the implementation of TPPK and PATBM has taken place in several villages and sub-districts, including regular coordination forums and case handling through cross-sector collaboration. However, challenges remain, such as the uneven establishment of institutions, limited budgets, suboptimal human resource capacity, and low public awareness regarding violence against women and children.
The meeting resulted in several recommendations: strengthening the capacity of cadres, allocating dedicated funding, conducting widespread awareness campaigns, and optimizing reporting systems and disaggregated data. Moving forward, it is hoped that TPPK and PATBM in Kayong Utara will become more effective and integrated in realizing the protection of women and children, leading to a safer, healthier, and more empowered generation.
