KREASI Kayong Utara Holds Child Protection Campaign

A lively Child Protection Campaign was held at Pulau Datok Beach, Sukadana, Kayong Utara on Sunday (10/08/2025). The event was officially opened by Regional Secretary of Kayong Utara, Erwin Sudrajat and attended by Director of KREASI Kalimantan Barat, Gufron Amirullah.

The main purpose of the activity was to raise public awareness about the importance of creating a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for children’s optimal growth and development.

The event began with the release of colorful balloons as a symbol of new enthusiasm and strong hopes for child protection. A variety of activities enlivened the campaign, including a mass exercise themed 7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children”, free health check-ups, nutrition and child growth consultations, as well as the provision of an ambulance by Muhammadiyah Kayong Utara District Leadership to support medical preparedness.

On this occasion, Gufron and the KREASI Kayong Utara team distributed school bags and stationery to students of the Catch Up Club remedial classes.

The campaign also featured creative children’s competitions such as a child protection-themed fashion show, a letter-writing contest for parents as an expression of love, and a singing competition with songs on children’s rights and protection.

Through cross-sector collaboration, Kayong Utara reaffirmed its commitment to campaigning against violence toward children and promoting the creation of a generation that is healthy, intelligent, and of strong character.
