Looking at KREASI’s Baseline Study in 8 Districts

The KREASI program’s baseline situational study was carried out in eight intervention districts using both qualitative and quantitative approaches to analyse each area’s starting point before KREASI’s presence.

This baseline study measured four core components of the Program of KREASI—Curriculum and Assessment, Teaching Practices, Education Leadership, and Child Protection—as well as two cross-cutting components: Gender, Disability, Social Inclusion, and Climate Change.

The study involved key individuals who are the main targets of the KREASI Program, namely Grade 4 students at primary schools (SD/MI), kindergarten students (TK/RA), parents, SD/MI and TK/RA teachers, SD/MI and TK/RA principals, local government officials and their units, as well as local organisations and community groups.

A total of 180 SD/MI and 69 TK/RA participated in the study, which was conducted simultaneously from October to November 2025.

Findings from this baseline situational study are being used to refine the strategic direction of the KREASI program, ensuring that KREASI is able to respond to the main challenges related to education, child protection, gender, disability, social inclusion, and climate change across the eight intervention areas.
