Teachers in Nias Selatan Strengthen Literacy and Numeracy Through Publishing Best Practices on Ruang GTK

KREASI Nias Selatan successfully organized a Capacity-Building Workshop for Educators focused on documenting and uploading best practices in literacy and numeracy through a digital platform for teachers. The two-day event took place on January 30–31, 2026, in Teluk Dalam and was attended by 19 participants.

This program marked the first initiative of 2026, aimed at optimizing teachers’ competencies in managing digital content while strengthening the ecosystem of sharing best practices at the school level. The effort was designed to encourage teachers to become more proactive in adapting to technology and to create inclusive and engaging classroom standards for students.

In his opening remarks, KREASI Nias Selatan Program Coordinator, Muliadin Harahap, emphasized the importance of publishing educators’ work on the platform as part of their professional development. Echoing this message, the District Representative of Save the Children, Reinhard Simanjuntak, highlighted that strengthening best practices is a shared responsibility in improving literacy and numeracy quality.

The resource person for the workshop, Jasmansyah—a high school teacher who also serves as a lecturer—equipped participants with strategic insights into utilizing the “Evidence of Work” feature on the platform. Participants were not only invited to explore various features, such as access to teaching tools and module downloads, but also to understand their connection to the e-Performance (e-Kinerja) regulatory framework.

“Limited digital literacy is no longer a barrier. Through AI adaptation and the use of digital assistants, all works can still be documented effectively and efficiently,” said Jasmansyah, addressing challenges often faced by senior teachers.

The second day focused on simulation and independent practice sessions. Participants were divided into several groups to develop articles, videos, and teaching materials, which were then directly reviewed by the facilitator to meet curation standards. One notable achievement was demonstrated by Wildarnis Laia, a public elementary school teacher, who successfully uploaded a teaching module entitled “The Stove in The Kitchen” to the platform.
