The event was attended by 20 participants consisting of teachers and school principals, along with invited representatives from the North Nias Education Office and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The workshop aimed to help participants understand how to identify and study best practices in schools. By applying inclusivity principles, the activity also encouraged fair and collaborative learning.
During the discussion, one participant, Zega, an elementary school teacher in Nias Utara, highlighted the importance of best practices.
“Best practices are experiences or methods that have proven effective and bring positive impacts, especially in education,” said Zega.

Another participant, Kasman, added, “Best practices improve teacher competencies, the quality of learning, collaboration among teachers, and student character.”
Participants also shared examples of best practices they applied. Master trainer Niataria mentioned community practices such as disposing of waste properly, which set a positive example for children. Meanwhile, Zega emphasized school-based practices like arriving on time, respecting teachers and peers, and maintaining classroom and environmental cleanliness.
This activity is part of KREASI Nias Utara’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and a collaborative culture in schools, while equipping teachers and students with skills, knowledge, and environmental awareness from an early age.
