GPE Country Lead Visits Indonesia 

Country Lead of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), Javier Luque, visited the Save the Children Indonesia office on Thursday, May 15, 2025. One of the main objectives of this visit was to introduce Javier’s successor, Talia Miranda. The meeting also served as a platform to discuss the progress of the KREASI Program’s implementation. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Save the Children Indonesia, Dessy Kurwiany Ukar, expressed her appreciation for GPE’s visit and the insights provided.

On the same day, Javier also attended the Indonesian Education Conference, organized by Lingkar Daerah Belajar (LDB) in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Education Office. His participation as a discussant in one of the sessions underscored GPE’s commitment to supporting national education initiatives.

Continuing his itinerary, Javier visited the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education on Friday, May 16. This meeting involved UNICEF, serving as the grant agent for the System Capacity Grant (SCG) and PSPK, Plan International Indonesia as co-coordinating agents, and the World Food Programme (WFP).

The delegation was received by the Co-Chairs of the Indonesian Education Partners (MPI), represented by the Secretary of the Agency for Standards, Curriculum, and Assessment in Education (BSKAP) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Muhammad Yusro, and the Head of the Center for Standards and Education Policy (PSKP) BSKAP, Irsyad Zamzani. These visits signify a leadership transition within GPE and reaffirm the dedication of GPE and its partners to supporting efforts to enhance the quality of education in Indonesia.
