KREASI conducted a capacity-building training for 6 implementing partners from 8 district to strengthen financial and operational governance, as well as the procurement of goods and services on 22-25 June 202. The training was part of efforts to ensure that the program is implemented effectively and transparently, in accordance with grant agreements and donor requirements.
The training emphasised that financial management is not solely the responsibility of finance teams. Every staff member involved in planning activities, making decisions, conducting procurement, or spending program funds also plays a role in ensuring that funds are properly managed and accounted for.
Participants learned about the KREASI Grant Program Implementation Guidelines, which cover four main areas: financial management, procurement of goods and services, reporting schedules and requirements, and other grant policies. The guidelines serve as a reference for implementing partners in planning, implementing, and reporting the use of grant funds in a structured and systematic manner.
In addition to procedural compliance, the training highlighted the importance of documentation at every stage of activity implementation and procurement. Complete documentation should clearly demonstrate what activity or transaction took place, when it occurred, who approved it, and why it was necessary. Documentation provides evidence that donor funds have been used appropriately and organisational policies have been followed.
Through the training, program, finance, operations, procurement, and human resources teams were encouraged to build shared responsibility for activity management. Strong cross-functional collaboration and documentation are expected to improve audit readiness, strengthen transparency, reduce compliance risks, and ensure that KREASI funds are used efficiently and effectively to support improvements in the quality of education for children in Indonesia.
