KREASI Nias Utara, implemented by Article 33 Indonesia, conducted visits and coordination with 36 intervention schools. The activity, carried out throughout April 2026, was part of preparations for the implementation of the second year of the KREASI Program.
The visits aimed to communicate the program’s objectives, present the implementation plan for second-year activities, and coordinate support for school profile data, data on principals and teachers, as well as student data from the program’s intervention schools.
During the activity, the KREASI Program Team presented several program packages to be implemented in the second year, including Teacher Professional Development (TPD), Principal Professional Development (PPD), Catch-up Club (CUC), Safe and Comfortable School Culture (BSAN), advocacy activities, and documentation of program good practices.
The TPD program focuses on improving the quality of teaching and strengthening the literacy and numeracy competencies of Grade 1–3 primary school teachers. Meanwhile, PPD focuses on strengthening the capacity of principals in supervision, management, social skills, and personal development.
In addition, the KREASI Program will also implement the Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Club to support the improvement of students’ literacy and numeracy skills through a learning-through-play approach. In the area of child protection, the KREASI Program will implement the BSAN package through training and mentoring for teachers, school committees, parents, and education personnel.
During the visits, schools in the six subdistricts expressed their support for the implementation of the second year of the KREASI Program and stated their willingness to provide the data needed by the program’s field team.
Overall, 36 intervention schools supported the implementation of the second year of the KREASI Program and are taking part in the preparation and strengthening of program implementation in Nias Utara District.
Through this coordination, KREASI Nias Utara hopes that the second year of program implementation can run more optimally through active school support and collaboration among all stakeholders in improving the quality of basic education, literacy, numeracy, inclusive education, and child protection in Nias Utara District.
