KREASI Kayong Utara organized a Character Education, Literacy, and Numeracy Strengthening activity for PAUD–primary school levels under the theme “Building Character, Strengthening Reasoning” on 30 January 2026. The activity was attended by educators from early childhood education (PAUD) to primary schools (SD) across various areas in Kayong Utara.
The initiative aimed to enhance understanding and teaching practices focused on character development, while also strengthening literacy and numeracy skills from an early age as the essential foundation of education.
In her remarks, the Head of the PAUD and Non-Formal Education (PNF) Division of the Kayong Utara District Education Office, Ratna Dewi, emphasized the importance of strengthening character education, literacy, and numeracy at the PAUD–primary school levels as a strategic effort to improve the quality of learning.
“Character education, literacy, and numeracy must be instilled from an early age. At the PAUD and primary school levels, this is the golden period to shape students who are not only academically capable but also possess strong character and sound reasoning skills,” said Ratna Dewi.
She added that strengthening these three aspects is key to creating meaningful learning processes that are relevant to children’s developmental needs.
“Through activities like this, we hope teachers will be able to implement learning that is more contextual, engaging, and oriented toward developing students’ character and critical thinking skills,” she added.
Through this initiative, KREASI reaffirms its commitment to supporting the improvement of education quality in Kayong Utara Regency by promoting learning practices that prioritize character, literacy, and numeracy as the main foundation for achieving quality and sustainable education.
