Teachers’ Day in Nias Selatan: A Moment to Joyful Transition from ECCE to Primary School

KREASI Nias Selatan, together with the Nias Selatan Government, held an Awareness Campaign on “A Joyful Transition from ECCE to Primary School” to commemorate National Teachers’ Day 2025. The event, centered at the Nias Selatan Regent’s Official Residence, became an important momentum to strengthen collaboration and launch a joint commitment for the future of early childhood education.

The campaign took place on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at the Nias Selatan Regent’s Official Residence, with a total of 260 participants in attendance. The event officially began with a National Teachers’ Day Ceremony and continued with the main agenda, the “Awareness Campaign on a Joyful Transition from ECCE to Primary School.” The main objective of the campaign was to inspire a child-centered vision for the future of education.

The program continued with the official opening and a visit to exhibition booths showcasing children’s learning products from ECCE/Kindergarten. The campaign was carried out through five ECCE/Kindergarten institutions partnering with KREASI, each setting up a booth to display children’s work and innovative learning media created by teachers. The booths were officially opened with the signing of a declaration board of joint commitment to a joyful and child-friendly transition from ECCE to primary school, as well as the launch of local cultural content from Nias Selatan.

The celebration also served as a platform to reaffirm collaboration. KREASI Save the Children Regional Manager Manmagilan stated, “This year’s National Teachers’ Day celebration has become an important momentum that not only honors teachers’ dedication, but also the strong collaboration between education institutions, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Save the Children, and KREASI’s partner IGI.”

The event concluded with the official announcement and awarding of prizes to outstanding students, as well as recognition for dedicated teachers who demonstrated exceptional performance. This is expected to encourage a healthy culture of competition among students and foster a fair and appreciative working environment for educators.

Meanwhile, Head of Nias Selatan District Education Office Nurhayati also invited all stakeholders—teachers, parents, and school committees—to collaborate and innovate in creating creative teaching methods to build an excellent future generation.
