The National Children’s Day (HAN) 2025 celebration in Nias Selatan carried the theme “Great Children, Strong Indonesia Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.” The event was a collaboration between KREASI Nias Selatan, the local government, and civil society organizations, held over two full days from 29 to 30 July 2025.
The first day of the celebration was a stage for the children of Nias Selatan to showcase their talents. Various exciting competitions were held to explore and appreciate their abilities: there were captivating storytelling, impressive young scientists, energetic band performances, touching monologues, fascinating creative dances, and spirited Indonesian children’s exercises.

The second day was the peak of the HAN celebration, attended by the Regional Secretary of Nias Selatan representing the regent. One of the main agendas was the declaration of a child-friendly district and 13-year compulsory education. This is a significant step forward, demonstrating the seriousness of Nias Selatan together with KREASI in creating a safe, comfortable, and fully supportive environment for children’s growth and development, while also ensuring access to quality education up to higher levels.
On this occasion, the Nias Selatan Children’s Forum was also inaugurated—a platform for participation that will empower children’s voices in the development of their own region.

All parts of the event—from the masters of ceremony to the dance performers—were entrusted entirely to the children. Various game booths lined up along the field also added to the festive atmosphere. One of the main attractions was the KREASI Nias Selatan booth, where children were invited to participate in educational activities such as a waste-sorting spinner, creating Stop Violence Against Children hand stamps, and unleashing their imagination at the always-crowded coloring booth.
