Bringing Students’ Imagination to Life, KREASI Ketapang Equips Teachers with Engaging Read-Aloud Techniques

KREASI Ketapang, implemented by the Majelis Dikdasmen and PNF PP Muhammadiyah, held a “Read Aloud Strategy Training” on 30 January 2026. The activity was attended by dozens of enthusiastic primary school (SD) and madrasah ibtidaiyah (MI) educators who were eager to learn read-aloud techniques as an effective strategy to foster children’s interest in reading from an early age. The training served as a practical solution to transform classroom atmospheres into more dynamic spaces, where books are not merely seen as static texts, but experienced through expressive and engaging voices that captivate students.

Facilitated by speakers from PP Muhammadiyah, Ghufron Amirullah, and the Founder of Reading Bugs, Dwi Renya Roosaria, participants explored the importance of reading aloud for students’ cognitive and emotional development. Beyond theory, teachers also directly practiced expressive reading techniques during interactive group simulation sessions.

The event was officially opened by the Head of the Ketapang District Education Office, Ucup Supriyatna. It is hoped that this initiative will nurture inspiring teachers who turn literacy into the most anticipated adventure for students in every school.
