KREASI Strengthens Collaboration with the Kemendikdasmen to Develop a Digital Learning Platform

Chief of Party of the KREASI Program, Save the Children, Alifah Sri Lestari, held a meeting with Primary High-Level Officials (Pejabat Pimpinan Tinggi Pratama) of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) in Jakarta on 8 January 2026. In attendance were the Head of the Center for Data and Information Technology (Pusdatin), Yudhistira Nugraha, and the Secretary of the Agency for Standards, Curriculum, and Educational Assessment (BSKAP), Mohammad Yusro.

The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration in improving education quality through the utilization of data, digital learning platforms, and more targeted teacher capacity development.

The discussion focused on access to and utilization of Rapor Pendidikan data to support a more in-depth baseline analysis of the KREASI Program, particularly regarding literacy and numeracy achievements in 249 target schools. Strengthening data-driven planning is expected to ensure that program interventions are more precise and responsive to the actual needs of schools.

During the meeting, the Head of Pusdatin encouraged the development of “Rumah Pendidikan Corners” in schools, such as reading corners that utilize learning resources from the Rumah Pendidikan platform. This initiative emphasized the importance of mapping how many target schools have received digital interactive boards, while also ensuring that learning resources extend beyond printed books to include digital materials and educational games.

Rumah Pendidikan is a platform designed as a learning ecosystem that not only provides a Teacher’s Space (Ruang Guru), but also a Student’s Space (Ruang Murid), School Space (Ruang Sekolah), Parent’s Space (Ruang Orangtua), and other spaces for education stakeholders. This ecosystem approach is expected to accelerate digital transformation and expand access to quality and inclusive learning resources.

The Secretary of BSKAP emphasized the importance of sustaining collaboration by inviting Pusdatin to participate in the regular quarterly meetings with the Co-Chairs. This coordination mechanism is expected to ensure that data integration, digital platform utilization, and the implementation of the KREASI Program remain aligned with national education policies.

Pusdatin also suggested involving volunteers beyond teachers to support learning activities in reading corners, with assistance and training provided by Technology Ambassadors (Duta Teknologi) in each province under Pusdatin’s guidance. This cross-sector collaboration model is expected to ease teachers’ workload while enriching students’ learning experiences through literacy support and the use of digital technology.

Looking ahead, Kemendikdasmen hopes to work together with KREASI to develop an integrated dashboard that not only monitors partner performance but also tracks improvements in school and teacher quality. This effort aligns with the national target of establishing 1,000 model schools focused on deep learning. Continued collaboration with Pusdatin will also support the establishment of digital reading corners integrated with Rumah Pendidikan learning resources.

The meeting marked an important milestone in strengthening the synergy between Save the Children Indonesia and Kemendikdasmen. Through the integration of data-driven analysis, a digital learning ecosystem, innovative teacher development, and community engagement, the KREASI Program continues to contribute to improving literacy, numeracy, and the overall quality of education in Indonesia in a sustainable manner.
