The child protection campaign themed “Together Building Safe, Inclusive, and Violence-Free Schools” was held at a primary school in Sukadana, Kayong Utara District, on 7 November 2025. The opening was symbolically marked by the release of balloons by students as a sign of shared commitment to creating a school environment that is safe, joyful, and free from violence. This event became an important momentum to strengthen a culture of child protection.
Organized by KREASI Kayong Utara, the activity was attended by the Head of Gunung Sembilan Village, Babinsa (village-level military officer), and parents. Participants received education on the importance of inclusive schools, the forms of violence that often occur, and strategies for preventing violence that can be carried out by teachers, parents, and students themselves.
Through counselling sessions and interactive discussions, the campaign emphasized that child protection is a shared responsibility. The activity is expected to strengthen collaboration between schools, parents, and the community in creating a learning environment that is safe, child-friendly, and respectful of every child. With this commitment, the school is expected to become a model of a truly inclusive school that is free from all forms of violence.
