KREASI Ketapang Starts Child Protection Campaign

KREASI Ketapang has initiated a Child Protection Campaign on Saturday (09/08/2025), marking a collaborative effort to raise awareness and prevent violence against children. The campaign brings together local government officials, educators, and community members to create a safer and more child-friendly environment.

The event was attended by Regent of Ketapang Alexander Wilyo, Vice Chair of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) Jasra Putra, and Sekretaris Majelis Dikdasmen dan PNF PP Muhammadiyah Muhammadiyah Khoirul Huda. The campaign, titled “Great Indonesian Children: Stop Violence Against Children”, brought together school principals and hundreds of students from Ketapang.

In his remarks, Khoirul Huda affirmed his commitment to advancing the education system to create an excellent and competitive generation.

“Schools, communities, and the government are three essential components in realizing a strong and progressive generation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jasra Putra highlighted the high rate of child marriage, stressing that addressing this issue requires the support of all stakeholders.

“This is our collective responsibility, not something that can be handed over solely to the Regent. Families, community leaders, and religious figures must ensure there are no child marriages,” he explained.

The campaign was warmly welcomed by Regent Alexander, who emphasized that the initiative should not be just ceremonial but translated into real and continuous actions.

“I hope this campaign is not only for today, not only a slogan, but something we can truly implement in real life,” said the Regent.

He invited all parties to create a child-friendly ecosystem in Ketapang—safe, free from violence, and supportive of young people’s potential to become creative, resilient, and virtuous.

Regent Alexander Wilyo then officially opened the 2025 Child Protection Campaign in Ketapang as the first step toward building a society that is caring, aware, and responsible for the future of Indonesia’s children.
