HAN in Nias Utara Highlights the Theme: Protected Children, Advancing Nias Utara

In commemoration of National Children’s Day (HAN) 2025, KREASI Nias Utara, together with the Government of Nias Utara Regency, held a celebration carrying the national theme “Great Children, Strong Indonesia—Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045” and the sub-theme “Protected Children, Developing Nias Utara.”

The event took place on 31 July at the Nias Utara Library Office building and courtyard. It was attended by children from five kindergartens and primary schools in Lotu Subdistrict, as well as parents, teachers, and several local government agencies who actively supported the event.

Children enjoyed playing, singing, and exploring literacy in simple yet meaningful ways. Through a library room tour, they were introduced to each room, various literacy media, and even the digital corner. The activities were accompanied by parents and teachers, showing clear interest and enthusiasm from the children to engage in the library environment.

The celebration aimed to create a fun and safe space for children’s expression, while fostering reading interest, literacy awareness, and the importance of child protection from an early age. It also encouraged active involvement of parents, teachers, and the community in supporting children’s growth and development, while strengthening cross-sector collaboration to ensure children’s rights and voices are heard in the development process.

As part of strengthening education, materials on child protection and positive parenting were delivered by the Nias Utara Office of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) and the Nias Utara Regional Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (BAPPERIDA). This was a concrete step to support children’s development in a safe, healthy, and nurturing manner.

Appreciation was extended to all local government agencies, teachers, community groups, and parents who actively participated. Children’s growth, development, and protection are a shared responsibility toward a better future for Nias Utara and Indonesia.
