Its administrative area consists of 11 sub-districts, 1 sub-district, and 113 villages. The majority of the population is Christian, with 79.59% Protestant and 15.31% Catholic. In the education sector, Nias Utara has a total of 199 schools of various levels, with a total of 16,776 students and 2,016 teachers spread across TK, RA, SD, and MI.
