KREASI and the Nias Utara Education Office Strengthen Synergy for the Implementation of the Second-Year Program

KREASI Nias Utara, implemented by Article 33 Indonesia, together with the Nias Utara District Education Office, held an alignment meeting for the second year of the KREASI Program on 29 May 2026.

The activity aimed to align understanding, strengthen coordination, and develop strategic steps for the implementation of the second year of the KREASI Program so that it can run more effectively and in accordance with the program targets in Nias Utara District.

The second year of the KREASI Program focuses on strengthening the quality of basic education through capacity building for teachers and school principals, strengthening students’ literacy and numeracy, inclusive education, child protection, and coordination among education stakeholders in Nias Utara District.

In its second year, KREASI Nias Utara will reach 36 target schools across six subdistricts.

In his remarks, the Head of the Nias Utara District Education Office expressed appreciation for the continuation of the KREASI Program in Nias Utara District. According to him, the program greatly supports the local government, particularly in strengthening the capacity of teachers and school principals amid limited education budgets.

In addition, the Education Office also emphasized the importance of monitoring and evaluating teachers and school principals who have participated in training, so that the program results can have a tangible impact on the quality of learning in schools.

Through the joint discussion, all parties expressed their support for the implementation of the second year of the KREASI Program and committed to carrying out the program collaboratively in accordance with their respective roles and functions.

As a follow-up, the KREASI Program and the Nias Utara District Education Office agreed to strengthen coordination through regular meetings and periodic program activity reporting to support the improvement of inclusive, safe, and sustainable quality education in Nias Utara District.

KREASI in Nias Utara is managed by Save the Children and implemented by Article 33 Indonesia, with funding from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), as well as support from the Government of Nias Utara and Indonesia’s Local Education Group, led by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag).
