Strengthening Teachers’ Writing and Dissemination of Good Practices through the Rumah Pendidikan Digital Platform

KREASI Pesisir Barat organized a Workshop on Writing and Dissemination of Literacy and Numeracy Good Practices through the Rumah Pendidikan digital platform. The workshop aimed to support teachers in transforming their teaching experiences into well-documented good practices that can be shared and reused more widely.

A total of 31 teachers from primary schools (SD/MI) and early childhood education institutions (TK/RA/PAUD) participated in the workshop. All participants had already implemented literacy and numeracy learning in their classrooms. Through this activity, teachers were encouraged to reflect on their teaching experiences and document them in a clear and systematic way.

The workshop focused on two main areas: the compilation of good practices related to lesson planning and learning processes, and the development of good practice documents in the form of modules and teaching materials. With this approach, classroom-based practices can be transformed into learning resources that are accessible and useful for other educators.

Beyond strengthening teachers’ writing skills, the workshop also emphasized the dissemination of good practices. Participants were supported in preparing and uploading their work to Rumah Pendidikan, a digital platform managed by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education that serves as a space for educators to share learning practices.

Out of the 31 participants, 15 good practice stories were successfully written and uploaded to the Rumah Pendidikan platform. In addition, eight other good practice documents were completed and are ready to be uploaded at a later stage. These stories highlight teachers’ real experiences in implementing contextual, inclusive, and student-centered literacy and numeracy learning.

One example of a good practice came from of one Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta (MIS) in Pesisir Barat, which documented a learning activity that helps students understand the negative impact of plastic waste on the surrounding environment. This practice illustrates how literacy and numeracy learning can be integrated with environmental issues in everyday classroom activities.

One of the workshop participants, Endah, shared her experience in writing good practices. “In writing a good practice, we start by identifying the problems we face, then clarifying our goals, and after that determining the steps we need to take to address the problem and improve our practice going forward,” she said.

Through this activity, KREASI hopes that teachers will not only gain new knowledge and skills in writing and documenting learning practices, but also strengthen their commitment to continuously share experiences and innovations. In doing so, good teaching practices can reach a wider audience of educators and contribute to improving the quality of literacy and numeracy learning in Pesisir Barat.
