Over three days, from 22 to 24 October 2025, a Working Group of Teachers (KKG) meeting for primary schools and madrasah ibtidaiyah was held in Sukadana, Kayong Utara, with the theme “Deep Learning Training”. The activity was opened by Head of the Kayong Utara Education Office, Jumadi, who emphasized the local government’s commitment to improving education quality through strengthening teacher capacity.
In this activity, teachers received direct guidance from resource persons and experts in deep learning, namely Wati Sukmawati and Arum Fatayan from Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka, and Nurhadianto from Universitas PGRI Pontianak.
Through a series of material sessions and practical workshops, the speakers guided participants to understand the concept of deep learning, which emphasizes critical and reflective thinking processes, as well as the relevance of learning to students’ real-life contexts.
This activity is expected to be a strategic step in strengthening the implementation curriculum in Kayong Utara. Through this training, teachers not only gained theoretical understanding but also practical skills to create meaningful and enjoyable learning.
With collaboration between the government, academia, and education practitioners, Kayong Utara reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a generation of learners who are intelligent, creative, and have strong character.
