KREASI Pesisir Barat Promotes More Effective Teacher Performance Evaluation

KREASI Pesisir Barat held a Workshop on Assisting Principals in Implementing Teacher Performance Regulations to support the improvement of student-centered learning quality on 28 October 2025. This activity was designed as a response to the challenges of improving education quality in schools, particularly in managing and evaluating teacher performance.

In this workshop, participating principals were encouraged to understand the substance and core principles of the Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel (GTK) Regulation Number 7607/B.B1/HK.03/2023, as well as to develop the skills to design, monitor, and evaluate teacher performance in an objective and continuous way.

The workshop also emphasized the importance of building a reflective culture and performance dialogue in schools.

“Principals and teachers must understand each other, engage in dialogue, make use of local potential, and share knowledge to create a productive working environment,” said Madrasah Supervisor, Slamet.

As a follow-up, mentoring will be carried out for the School Principals Working Group (K3S) and the Madrasah Principals Working Group (K3M). Through this mentoring, networks and the practice of sharing experiences among principals in Pesisir Barat are expected to be strengthened.

“In principle, this mentoring is aligned with the role of school supervisors in guiding school leadership performance. Peer mentoring will encourage collaboration and reflection among principals,” added Slamet.

In this way, a professional and solid community among principals and teachers can be built.

The implementation of the workshop and mentoring is expected to help form school communities that support one another and are committed to strengthening school leadership in Pesisir Barat.

Slamet concluded, “The success of building professionalism and collaboration in schools requires an approach that is collaborative, humane, and sustainable.”
