Jakarta, January 17, 2025 – On Monday, January 13, 2025, the first day of the KREASI Kick-Off event was held with the seven selected Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) who will collaborate with Save the Children Indonesia over the next 11 months in the KREASI program — an acronym for Kolaborasi untuk Edukasi Anak Indonesia or Collaboration for Indonesian Children’s Education.
The seven LIPs will work directly with local communities in target areas. Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI) will operate in Nias Selatan District, Article 33 in Nias Utara District, LP Ma’arif NU in Tanggamus District and Yayasan Guru Belajar in Pesisir Barat District.
In Kalimantan Barat Province, Majelis Dikdasmen PNF Muhammadiyah will work across two regencies: Ketapang and Kayong Utara.
In Eastern Indonesia, Wahana Visi Indonesia will support KREASI in Halmahera Utara District, while the Stimulant Institute will operate in Kepulauan Morotai District.
This five-day event took place at the Aloft Jakarta hotel and was attended by approximately 40 participants representing the seven LIPs of the KREASI program.
Over the course of five days, participants were provided with information on program implementation procedures and introduced to key regulations guiding the execution of the KREASI program.
As the frontline implementers of KREASI in the field, the LIPs received training on managing program budgets, program implementation strategies, donor regulations and policies, as well as practical tips and tricks for effective program execution.
It is hoped that through this initiative, Save the Children and the seven LIPs collaborating in the KREASI program will achieve their shared goal of improving the quality of education for children in the program’s target locations.
